Allegiant Air has announced its design team for Sunseeker Resort. The team includes Las Vegas architect Steelman Partners and three local firms: L2 Studios, Manhattan Construction Group and Florida Premier Contractors.
“We are incredibly excited to have such a wealth of talent and creativity behind this special project,” said Allegiant Air president John Redmond. “These four firms bring unmatched experience with integrated resorts in unique settings – from grand-scale international hotels to coastal condo resorts and boutique spas.”
Serving as the resort’s architect of record, L2 Studios brings more than 120 years of combined experience in the hospitality and entertainment/leisure industries through its principals. The award-winning firm, which is based in Orlando, has designed more than 15,000 guestrooms and villas worldwide. Current resort projects include The Grove Resort and Spa, Orlando and Tradewinds Resort, St. Pete Beach.
Manhattan Construction Group is a full-service construction firm headquartered in Oklahoma which maintains offices in Florida. For the project, Allegiant selected the firm’s Naples office which has built 100 hospitality and leisure projects including The Esplanade, Marco Island and Yacht Haven in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Based in Charlotte County, FPC offers knowledge of the Southwest Florida development landscape, with experience in projects in the local commercial, industrial, community retail/restaurant, government, sports, entertainment and other industries. The firm’s high-profile projects include a distribution center for Cheney Brothers, West Palm Beach and Springhill Suites, Punta Gorda.
Slated for development on more than 22 acres of waterfront land in Charlotte County, Sunseeker Resort will feature nine condominium towers, restaurants, bar and retail spaces, a marina and resort pool designed to be the largest in North America.
