This event is the largest of its kind in the Bay Area, bringing together construction subcontractors, industry suppliers, and service providers for an afternoon of networking and collaboration. With billions of dollars in public and private construction projects on the horizon for Tampa, the Expo offers a crucial platform for small businesses to access information, build connections, and secure contracts.
Attendees will have opportunities to meet with more than two dozen experts, including government procurement officials, financial lenders, bonding agencies, and prime contractors.
The Expo, launched five years ago, is designed to increase the participation of minority and women-owned businesses in city contracts. Since its launch, the program has helped numerous businesses become city-certified vendors and secure valuable contracts.
“It’s all about leveling the playing field and ensuring that everyone, especially our minority and women-owned businesses, has a fair shot at success,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “The Expo is a perfect example of how we’re connecting people to the opportunities they need to succeed in Tampa’s growing economy.”
