New York- based developer KAR Properties commenced the foundation pour on Saturday, June 29 for 2000 Ocean in Hallandale Beach.
General contractor Suffolk Construction worked with Ozinga for the 13-hour pour, which began at 2:00 a.m. and lasted until 3:00 p.m. The pour required 240 concrete trucks and 500 tons of steel and marked one of the largest cement pours of the last decade in Hallandale Beach.
Developed by TEN Arquitectos and concept design by Kobi Karp, 2000 Ocean is a 38-story development, expected to be completed in mid-2021.
