Charles Perry Partners Inc. has been selected by Orlando Health to build a new UF Health Center — Orlando Health cancer facility at its Health Central hospital in Ocoee.
The project designer is HuntonBrady Architects.
The facility will be 30,000 sq. ft. and will include 16 exam rooms, 20 infusion stations, two radio-therapy vaults and seven physician offices. The facility will be built on the vacant, northeastern part of Health Central’s property at 10000 W. Colonial Dr.
It’s expected to open by year end 2018, as previously reported by Orlando Business Journal.
The hospital system announced the new projects in March and received $75 million for the three projects from The West Orange Healthcare District.
Here’s what else is in the works:
- A 100-bed nursing home with a 60-bed rehabilitation unit and a 40-bed Alzheimer’s unit, also at the Health Central campus;
- A 70,000 sq. ft. building with a freestanding emergency department, outpatient diagnostics and laboratory services, doctors offices, and a human performance and wellness center in Horizon West. Construction should begin by November and be complete in February 2018.
