B & I Contractors, a Florida based Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical subcontracting and building services firm, says it has ben invited to join the Robins & Morton team for the construction of the Joe DiMaggio Children Hospital Vertical Expansion and CEP renovations.
This project in Hollywood includes renovating and expanding the hospital’s current capacity from four floors to eight floors with additional heart institute, rehabilitation and intensive care unit.
B & I will be responsible for the HVAC scope. The HVAC scope includes selective demolition and installation of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, Air Handling Units, VAV boxes, ductwork and air distribution system, chilled and hot water aboveground systems with associated insulation and specialties.
In full coordination with Robins & Morton and hospital facilities, critical shutdowns will be performed to minimize any disruption to their daily operations.
In addition, B & I is a key contractor for the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process for installation of all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems.
