The City of Orlando will host an open house tonight for the community to provide input on the Pulse Memorial site, as an advisory committee prepares to meet for the first time.
The open house will be held at the Kia Center, White and Blue Rooms, 400 West Church St. from 6 to 8 p.m.
Members of the public can attend the committee meetings virtually or in-person, in English and Spanish. Those wishing to join the committee meetings virtually may connect to the meeting at pulseorlando.org/meetinginformation.
Committee members include representatives of victims’ families, survivors and other stakeholders who will guide the effort to create a permanent memorial at the Pulse site, develop opportunities for input and engagement, in English and Spanish.
The committee will recommend a conceptual design for the memorial by the end of this year to honor the 49 victims.
Families, survivors, and the broader community will have multiple opportunities over the next six months to provide input into the design of the permanent memorial. This will include in-person community meetings along with a virtual space online for feedback.
Updates will be available at pulseorlando.org/committee.
