Wright Construction Group, one of the largest commercial contractors based on the Gulf Coast, has opened an office in downtown Fort Myers, the Business Observer has reported.

“Our new office solidifies our position as members of the City of Fort Myers community and reflects our continued commitment to this world-class city,” George Andy Powell, executive vice-president with Wright Construction, said in a statement. “Additionally, we recognize the many strengths and opportunities that downtown offers for fast-growing firms — from attracting talented staff to the quality of life in our communities”

Wright’s new office is at 1404 Dean St. and will house the firm’s civil division staff. The company says the new location gives employees the ability to more conveniently collaborate with downtown customers and local government officials.

Wright Construction is currently the construction manager for a major Fort Myers improvement project linking two wastewater-treatment plants. This project will improve the efficiencies of the two facilities and allow them to share reclaimed water, the company says.

The company has 46 employees and reported $43.8 million in revenues in 2015.
