The world’s tallestroller coaster, with 520-foot height, will be built in Florida, reports Orlando Sentinel.
The exact location of the development has not yet to be disclosed. Michael Kitchen, president of US Thrill Rides, is expected to make an official announcement in a few weeks.
The coaster design, which US Thrill Rides refers to as Polercoaster, is tall and lean but has a small footprint, according to Kitchen. The 520-foot version coming to Florida fits in a 150-foot diameter, he said.
The building will have a double-decker restaurant and observation deck that can house retail outlets. People can travel by elevator to eat and shop up there without boarding the thrill ride, the newspaper reports.
The project is expected to break ground in summer of 2014, with completion anticipated in spring of 2016.
