General contractor Brasfield & Gorrie says it will seek subcontractor bids in early 2016 for the $90 million Winter Park Memorial Hospital, the largest investment in the hospital’s history.
The emergency department construction will start in the spring and be completed by the winter of 2016. There will be 24 new rooms and a new emergency department entrance, adding 13,600 sq. ft.
Meanwhile the contractor will also start work on 80 additional private patient rooms. These will be completed in 2018.
Winter Park’s planning and zoning board will vote on the proposal on Aug. 4, and the city commission is scheduled to vote on Aug. 24, Orlando Business Journal reports. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Winter Park City Hall.
