West Palm Beach-based Verdex Construction has been selected to complete a multi-million dollar interior renovation of new office space on behalf of building owner TAM-CAT-45th Street, LLC.

The building be will be home to a new location for Belcan, one of the largest engineering companies in U.S. The location, off of 45th Street in West Palm Beach, is the former home of Lincoln College of Technology.

Belcan, LLC, a global supplier of engineering, technical recruiting and IT services, will create 200 new jobs. The company currently employs approximately 600 Floridians throughout the state, says a news release Florida Gov. Rick Scott. This expansion will be an investment of more than $3 million in the Palm Beach County community.

“Belcan required an expedited construction schedule for a summer 2018 move-in, as well as a contractor that could handle a complex building with varying levels of security, so TAM CAT chose Verdex for our proven ability,” said Rex Kirby, president of Verdex Construction.

The project, encompassing more than 65,000 sq. ft. of office space, is expected to be completed in June.

Other Verdex Construction projects throughout South Florida include the Canopy Hotel in Downtown West Palm Beach; 1000 North, a Michael Jordan co-owned restaurant on the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter; Sabbia Beach Condominiums, a 19-story, 68 unit luxury residential tower in Pompano Beach; and the Turnpike Business Park, a light industrial office/warehouse facility project in suburban West Palm Beach.
