In her new office, Heran will directly manage the firm’s projects across the state’s southern region, with a concentration on the Palm Beach market. With her experience and expertise, she is expected to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Heran will actively participate in key milestone events in the pre-construction phase, including the partnering session, contract development, value engineering, constructability and schedule reviews. In addition, she will oversee each project’s continuity by providing available and appropriate resources throughout the construction phase.
In her former post as project executive, Heran led the construction of the Philip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in downtown Miami, a 258,000 sq. ft. facility with a planetarium and aquarium. She was also featured in South Florida Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Awards in 2013.
Three other Skanska USA team members were also promoted namely Nelmarie Bowie to senior project manager; and Dana Nelson and Alvaro Sanchez to project managers.
Bowie will manage construction teams and serve as the property owner’s day-to-day point of contact during the entire construction phase. Meanwhile, Nelson and Sanchez will oversee the technical aspects of projects and coordination of subcontractors.
“As we expand our footprint in South Florida, these team members will play an integral role in providing construction management services and ensuring the utmost safety and quality in our projects…,” said MacAdam Glinn, senior vice president and account manager for Skanska’s building operations in South Florida.
