The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with David Mancini & Sons, Inc. to construct a new underground sewer pump station on SE 11 St. west of US 1 / Federal Highway in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Work started this week and the new pump station will replace the existing Sewer Pump Station A-16 that is 120 feet to the west, to accommodate the construction of the new federal courthouse. This project will enhance reliability and improve services for our neighbors. It includes:
- Upgrading hydraulic equipment within the pump station
- Replacing nearby undersized and aging water and sewer lines
- Installing new connections to nearby water and sewer lines
- Restoring the surrounding roadway
Construction is expected to be completed in late 2023 and 24-hour operations are planned for the installation of new pipe that cannot be interrupted.
