Miller Construction Company will start construction in early June on a speculative warehouse at Airport Logistics Park in Ocala for Boyd+Mox Industrial Development. The 100,090-sq. ft. space is currently designed as a single, open shell.

The project team includes Horton, Harley & Carter Inc. (architect), Colwill Engineering (MEP), Richard Adams Engineers & Consultants (structural) and Kimley-Horn (civil).

The tilt-wall structure will offer quick access to Ocala International Airport, making it ideal for companies engaged in distribution, logistics and e-commerce. The single-story building is scheduled for completion by the end of 2022.

“With so many companies facing distribution challenges, we see a strong demand for space at the Ocala airport,” said Brian Sudduth, president of Miller Construction. “With our short construction time, a tenant or tenants could be in the warehouse in as little as six months.”

The building will have 32-ft., clear-height ceilings, 54-foot by 50-foot spacing and a 60-foot speed bay. The open design will allow for multiple layout options and extensive customization.

Miller will build next to a similar warehouse now under construction and section off its work zone for safety, clarity and quality. This is the third building in the park, completing the first phase. Airport Logistics Park totals 725,000 sq. ft. of Class A Industrial space.
