Melo Group has revealed its plans for two 60-story waterfront residential towers in Edgewater.

Called Island Bay, the development will include 782 units and 9,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail and commercial space, reports The Real Deal.

The site is located at the property at 700 Northeast 24th St.

Melo is seeking approval from Miami-Dade’s Shoreline Review Committee to close some of the nearby streets to begin construction. In return, the developer would offer roughly 44,000 sq. ft. of land to the city.

The 60-stories tall towers could be the tallest buildings in Edgewater. The developer did not disclose any construction timeline.
