The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced the 2024 Best in Construction Award recipients. Awards are presented annually in collaboration with the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) to recognize contributions of construction contractors.
“With our state experiencing record growth year after year, Florida’s transportation industry has taken on the challenge of meeting the increasingly complex needs of our communities through innovative engineering solutions and intentional collaboration with partners, resulting in major successes in every corner of the state,” said FDOT Secretary Jared Perdue, P.E. “The 2024 Best in Construction Awards demonstrate the remarkable professionals who are going above and beyond to deliver the robust transportation network that so many of us depend on.
“FDOT is grateful for their continued partnership and dedication to excellence that allow us to carry out this critical work each day.”
The FDOT State Construction Office convenes a panel each year to carefully assess the nominated projects, which are evaluated based on a comprehensive set of criteria to identify top-tier projects and contractors who have truly excelled.
“Each year, FTBA is proud to partner with FDOT to recognize the companies and individuals who are doing exceptional work, day in and day out, on the most innovative, complex and impactful transportation projects happening across our great state,” said FTBA President Ananth Prasad. “This year’s recipients have shown a commitment to upholding the highest standards as they work diligently to improve and expand the state’s infrastructure system for the benefit of all Florida’s road users, now and for many years to come.”
