“Under her leadership, Chase Roofing has become synonymous with customer satisfaction and happiness.
“Tamara’s emphasis on building meaningful relationships and fostering a positive work environment has created a company that not only excels in construction but also touches lives and leaves a lasting impact on the community. Her invaluable contributions deserve recognition and commendation.”Chase Roofing was founded by Tamara and husband, John, 21 years ago. The company does all types of roof work in the Tri-County area of South Florida, and also has an office in Tampa. Their West Coast service area extends from Jacksonville to Orlando. Tamara says the company has earned a reputation for prompt, dependable roofing service using only the best materials, for competitive costs, and a high level of business integrity.
In 2010 they shifted the business to roofing as their single focus.
As the business continues to grow, Tamara says she is inspired by women bringing their unique talents to the construction industry.
“I’d say the biggest thing is being a woman-owned business,” she says. “A woman’s touch is always involved. It’s involved with every aspect. For instance, I wouldn’t hire anyone I wouldn’t want in my house.”
Chase Roofing serves South Florida and the Tampa region, providing roof protection, including re-roofing, roof coating, hurricane straps, gable end bracing, roof replacement, and roof inspections.
Maintenance services include roof repair, fascia/soffit repair, roof maintenance and roof cleaning solutions. Chase Roofing specializes in all types of roofs including shingle roofing, tile roofing, metal roofing, and flat roofs.
The company is certified as a “Women-Owned” business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
“I’m in a male-dominated industry. I like bringing rainbows and glitter into it,” she says, adding she also wears a pink hard hat, of course.
Florida Construction News is pleased to recognize Tamara Chase of Chase Roofing as one of the Top Women in Construction in 2023.
“I just knew there had to be a better experience during a construction project than what the industry norm was,” Tamara says. “Our company grew by doing the right thing with our customers and taking care of our teams … and if we mess up, we fix it.”
Doing the right thing at Chase Roofing means creating an inclusive work environment that encourages and motivates women in construction.
Kindness and good character matter, and always taking care of employees and customers has been the key to growing the business.
“I absolutely love what I do,” she says. “I get to spend my day connecting with others, building relationships, strategic planning and serving our community. Nothing makes me happier than this journey of being the best version of myself.”
Tamara’s impact is felt well beyond her business through speaking engagements, social media campaigns, podcasts and Emerge Movement, a non-profit organization she started to provide career and lifestyle coaching to the next generation of women leaders. It’s an endeavour that she says is “good for my soul.”
The motto? “Be the CEO your mom told you to marry.”
Also, she’s launched a new endeavor consulting couples that own construction companies “so that they are in love with their business and then love with their partner.” For information on an upcoming retreat, contact Tamara at tamarachase.com.
“I am witnessing the next chapter of how construction is going to be done,” Tamara says. “Women are bringing their unique talents to the industry to provide an excellent service to our customers and do it with pride.”
