Rendering of UNICORP's Venetian Isles now under way by Roger B. Kennedy Construction

Altamonte Springs-based Roger B. Kennedy Construction says it has broken ground May 2 for the Venetian Isles Apartments & Townhomes in Windermere, under its $42 million contract with UNICORP National Developments, Inc., Orlando.

Designed by Slocum Platts Architects, Maitland, the work includes a 19-building, 302-unit apartment community at 6506 San Francesco Way plus an adjacent nine-building, 44-unit townhome community at 10006 St. Marks Blvd.

The townhomes and apartments are scheduled for completion in June 2017 and December 2017, respectively.

Kennedy also broke ground May 2 for the $10 million Brixton Landing Apartments, a new senior living facility at 442 E. 13th Street in Apopka. Developed by Wendover Housing Partners, LLC, Altamonte Springs, Brixton Landing is an 80-unit apartment community also designed by Slocum Platts Architects, and is slated for completion in February 2017.
