Altamonte Springs-based Roger B. Kennedy Construction says it has broken ground May 2 for the Venetian Isles Apartments & Townhomes in Windermere, under its $42 million contract with UNICORP National Developments, Inc., Orlando.

Kennedy also broke ground May 2 for the $10 million Brixton Landing Apartments, a new senior living facility at 442 E. 13th Street in Apopka. Developed by Wendover Housing Partners, LLC, Altamonte Springs, Brixton Landing is an 80-unit apartment community also designed by Slocum Platts Architects, and is slated for completion in February 2017.
