Mike Biskie appointed vice-president on CareerSource Southwest Florida’s board of directors

CareerSource of Southwest Florida has appointed Mike Biskie, Human Resources Director of B & I Contractors, to its board of directors as vice-president. Biskie will be completing a two-year term ending in June of 2021.

Biskie is a highly accomplished corporate human resources director with 14 years of experience serving on the Workforce Board of Directors in the Ocala Region and Citrus-Levy-Marion Counties. He previously served on the board of directors of the National Association of Workforce Boards, an advocacy group in the Washington, DC area, for a total of nine years — two of which he served as vice-chairman.

B & I Contractors promotes three BIM/VDC (Building information modeling/Virtual design and construction) experts

B & I Contractors promotes David Moorhead to BIM/VDC Manager responsible for the Southwest Florida region. Moorhead, a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker with 21 years’ trade experience, holds certifications in Revit MEP Fundamentals, Revit for Fabrication, CADmep Fundamentals, OSHA 30 and Trane Air-Conditioning Advanced series. Moorhead currently serves on the STEM@work committee with the Foundation Lee County Public Schools and has held several chair positions in the local chapter of The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRA. Moorhead is a 7-year B & I employee-owner.

B & I Contractors promotes Timothy Juneau to BIM/VDC Manager responsible for the West Central Florida region. Juneau holds certifications as a Journey Plumber with 22 years’ trade experience in the Plumbing Trade with certifications in OSHA 10, Revit for Fabrication, and CAD MEP Fundamentals. Juneau has held positions of CAD Designer and Estimator during his 10-year tenure as a B&I employee-owner.

B & I Contractors promotes Jeff Seaman to BIM/VDC Team Lead. Seaman was raised in Lee County and is a graduate of Cape Coral High School. Seaman has devoted his B&I career to the sheet metal division and worked his way to Team Lead utilizing Trane night classes and OJT training. Seaman is a 14-year B & I employee-owner.

B&I Contractors promotes Eddie Fisher to Sheet Metal Foreman-Level II in charge of over 20 Lee Health Hospitals and Medical Center projects in the Southwest Florida region. Fisher oversees all aspects of the sheet metal construction on the SW Florida health care and medical facilities. Fisher is a 15-year B & I employee-owner.

B&I Contractors promotes Mario Rojas to Sheet Metal Foreman in the growing Charlotte County area. Rojas supervises work crews and coordinates activities, orders materials and tools needed for the installation of sheet metal products and equipment on the job. Rojas is a 5-year B & I employee-owner.

B&I Contractors promoted Michael Newman to Plumbing Superintendent responsible for the West Central Florida region. Newman is a master plumber with 35 years’ trade experience in commercial plumbing in the Tampa Bay area. Newman recently completed the Clearwater Marine Aquarium project with excellent customer satisfaction, workmanship, safety, and profitability. Newman is highly motivated, experienced, detail orientated and well respected by all. Newman will lead the West Central Plumbing department as they continue to grow in the region. Newman is a 2-year B & I employee-owner.
