J.R. Davis Construction Co. Inc. has started site work and general property improvements on the $70 million Lake Nona Landing shopping center just south of State Road 417, Orlando Business Journal (OBJ) reports.
Lake Nona now boasts more than 10,000 residents, the schools have more than 7,000 students, and the 600-acre Medical City life sciences hub employs nearly 5,000.
Meanwhile, on April 26, R.A. Rogers Construction Co. LLC filed a notice of commencement for the construction of a new 189,543 sq. ft. Walmart Supercenter store at 11930 Narcoosee Rd. in Altamonte Springs.
Walmart will be the first of three anchor tenants in Lake Nona Landing. The other two will be a Sam’s Club and a Lowe’s home improvement store, OBJ previously reported.
