University of Central Florida is planning to build a retirement community at McCulloch Road, just off the school’s campus, reports Wftv.com.
The retirement center will be about a mile from the football stadium, on the northeast corner of the campus. The retirement community will be built on 59 acres the university recently purchased for $6 million, according to the news report.
The community will offer independent and assisted living and memory care housing for Alzheimer’s patients.
