Two construction workers were killed and one was injured during a March 23 crane accident at a Boynton Beach construction site.

Fire and police rescue officials said that Jeremias Mendez, 32, and Eduardo Cruz-Moran, 25, both from West Palm beach, have been identified as the victims.

“Prior to arrival everything had already taken place but it does look like something may have dislodged and fell from the crane,” Prince said.

First responders located the men dead under the concrete debris.

A construction worker on site told WPBF 25 News that a safety meeting was held on site earlier that morning.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating.

“OSHA has initiated an inspection into this tragic event. We are unable to offer any additional details at this time regarding the incident,” the agency said in a statement.

The broadcaster reported that it has reached out to the Allegiance Crane & Equipment company.

“We are praying for the families of those involved,” Stacie Thames, vice-president, human resources and risk management at Allegiance Crane & Equipment, was quoted as saying.
