Stevens Construction starts work at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences new campus

ESJ Capital Partners and Stevens Construction have started construction on a new 122,000-sq.ft. campus for the University of St. Augustine Health Sciences’ St. Augustine campus. Gensler is the architect of record.The university, in partnership with ESJ Capital Partners, are renovating an existing two-story, 40,000-sq. ft. building, that previously housed the St. Augustine Record, located at 1 News Place in St. Augustine.

Additionally, Stevens Construction will be constructing a new 80,000-square-foot expansion on the existing two-story building, which will include the Center for Innovative Clinical Practice, multiple simulation labs, a 14-bed hospital space, two complex hospital rooms, six assessment rooms to model doctor office scenarios and a daily living lab to simulate home treatment.

Slated for completion in fall 2024, the new campus will also house learning studios, class labs, cadaver and anatomy labs, student lounges, amenities, study spaces, conference rooms, administration and multi-functioning working spaces.

The Stevens Construction team includes project executive Michael Waskiewicz, senior project manager Bruce Chartrand, senior superintendent Jim Ruby, superintendent Landon Smith and project administrators Corrie Cochran and Michelle Fergus.
