Seagate Development Group says it has hosted nearly two dozen Lee County leaders and Florida businesspeople at the ceremonial groundbreaking of 40-acre Alico Trade Center in Fort Myers
The July 2 event occurred at the business park site at Alico Road and Oriole Road in Fort Myers.
After introductions and a champagne toast by Seagate’s commercial division, team members from Seagate, Studio+, Quattrone & Associates, Lee County Economic Development, and Rice Insulation & Glass gathered for photo opportunities and refreshments.
Seagate is currently clearing land for Rice Insulation’s 35,000-sq. ft. facility as well as other to-be-announced design-build projects. This first tenant’s space will include offices, a reception area, a conference room, training and break rooms, workstations, a warehouse of insulation, glass and shelving materials, high-dock and grade-level doors, and 100 parking spaces. It is slated for completion in in the fourth quarter of 2021, with all other single-tenant, flex and/or industrial buildings to be completed on an ongoing basis.
