Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) recently opened its fifth campus in Wesley Chapel, Florida, where classes started in the summer of 2014. The campus has been named after its land donor.
Florida Architects, Inc. (FLA) designed the campus, including a 30-year master plan.
This is the PHSA’s second architecturally-designed Florida campus. The project has achieved 3 Green Globes from the Green Building Initiative (GBI), which could save the college tens of thousands of dollars each year, according to Florida Architects principals Joe Sorci and Markus Gemsch, who are Green Globes Professionals.
The five-storey building has classrooms, offices, labs, green roofs, student services andtwo parking levels in a design to maximize the available space.
