The School District of Palm Beach County is preparing to begin construction on a middle school west of Boynton Beach after the state legislature passed a law that allows districts to build schools without state permission, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
The new school will be built on 17 acres next to Sunset Palms Elementary. The district has allotted about $43 million for the school’s construction.
The new school is expected to be completed in 2023.
