Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (OAK) says it has been chosen to provide construction administration and management services for the new Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida (FHC.) clinic on Summer Ridge Lane in Fort Myers.

Lee County building permit files put a $7 million value on the one-story, approximately 36,000 sq. ft. multidisciplinary clinic containing offices for pediatrics, women’s health, laboratory, dental and a meeting/conference area. The building is designed to be energy efficient and sustainable. Construction started in May 2020.

The project architect is Burt Hill/Pollock Krieg Architects, Inc. OAK also constructed Family Health Centers’ Lehigh and Estero facilities and has renovated one of its clinics in Fort Myers.

Family Health Centers operates 21 medical and eight dental offices in Lee, Charlotte and Hendry counties. F.H.C. offers primary health care, preventative health care, disease management educational services and medical social services for all patient groups, including the medically underserved, migratory agriculture workers, the homeless and other special populations.

An employee-owned company, OAK Florida, Inc.’s Board of Directors is comprised of members from the company’s Florida operations. Owen-Ames-Kimball Company has provided premier general contracting, design-build, and construction management services in Southwest Florida since 1982.

OAK’s Florida operation is an affiliate of its parent company located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Florida operation has offices in Collier and Lee counties.
