Construction has started on the $70 million NuVista Institute for Healthy Living. The developer held a groundbreaking ceremony Sept. 21 at the 9.4 acre site at Military Trail north of Donald Ross Rd. in Jupiter.
The project will include a 129-bed physical therapy center, 70 assisted living apartments, a 30-unit memory care center for people with brain disorders, 17,000 sq. ft. of medical offices and 5,000 sq. ft. for clinical research.
According to South Florida Business Journal, Palm Beach Gardens-based NuVista is partnering with nonprofit Jupiter Medical Center on the project. The nearby Scripps Research Institute will collaborate as a research partner.
The land is leased from New York-based American Realty Capital Healthcare Trust, which bought it for $10 million in August.
