Construction on Southwest Florida’s first long-term care hospital is set to begin this spring in North Naples, reports Marco Island Florida.
The facility is expected to provide health services not offered at existing area hospitals.
Landmark Hospitals, a private, long-term care hospital company based in Cape Girardeau, Mo., plans to build a 50-bed facility near the intersection of Immokalee Road and Goodlette-Frank Road that could open its doors in spring 2015.
The facility would cater to patients with ongoing, complex medical needs and would fill a service void in Southwest Florida, said Landmark’s chairman, Dr. William Kapp.
