The Miami High School is preparing to begin a major construction project.
The school has started initial construction activities and is working to select who will complete all the construction work through a series of bid meetings, FourStatesHomepage reports.
The multi-million dollar project is designed to create more space for students. It calls for the addition of 20 new classrooms, an expansion of the library, a new art classroom, and a tornado shelter.
When complete, the building will house 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students. The school is expected to hold an initial groundbreaking in the next few weeks.
