McKenzie, a boutique design, build and custom fabrication firm in Miami’s industrial Allapattah neighborhood, has been selected by All Aboard Florida as executive architect and general contractor for Central Fare, the 50,000 sq. ft. food hall located at MiamiCentral.

The 11-acre, live-work-play mixed-use development in Downtown Miami is the hub for the new Brightline Express Train Station.

As executive architect and general contractor, McKenzie is coordinating the design, construction and millwork of the project and is also building-out individual spaces for several vendors, which to date include Parliament, a boutique coffee shop run by STARR Catering Group; and local favorite; Rosetta Bakery.

Additionally, McKenzie is executive architect and general contractor for the 10,000 sq. ft. anchor restaurant at MiamiCentral, Monger, a guest-driven concept by the Voltaggio brothers that’s opening in spring 2018.

“We’re excited to be a part of this beautiful, pioneering lifestyle project in the heart of Downtown Miami, which hundreds of thousands of people are expected to visit on a yearly basis,” said McKenzie firm owner and CEO Gavin McKenzie.

Construction on Central Fare is slated to be completed by spring 2018.
