A new report from McGraw Hill Construction shows that Central Florida’s construction market enjoyed a solid 2013 and things are looking up for this year as well, reports Orlando Business Journal.
In total, $4.5 billion worth of residential and commercial building permits were filed in 2013, a 43% uptick from the $3.2 billion worth of permits filed in 2012, according to the report.
Homebuilders filed for $3.2 billion in permits in 2013, a 51% jump from 2012’s $2.1 billion, while commercial permits totaled $1.35 billion last year, a 27% uptick from the year prior’s $1.07 billion.
