Mayo Clinic has announced that it will invest $144 million for two major projects in Jacksonville.

The projects, soon be constructed on the clinic’s 400-acre campus, include a five-floor building and a patient parking garage.

The five-floor, 120,000-sq.-ft. building with a two-story building link between the Mayo and Cannaday buildings will have space for up to eight operating rooms, as well as procedural space for cardiology, gastroenterology and hepatology, and other departments. The project is expected to be completed in 2021.

Located adjacent to the Cannaday Building, the 1,000-space parking garage will provide parking capacity and added convenience for patients.

In addition to the garage, a two-story connector building will be constructed that includes about 25,000 sq. ft. of space for retail and undetermined use. The garage is expected to be completed in 2020.
