Construction has reached a key milestone on a new Life Time athletic country club in Lakewood Ranch, where the 86,000-square-foot wellness facility has officially topped out.
The topping-out marks completion of the building’s structural framework and signals continued progress on the project, which is designed as a destination-focused fitness and wellness center serving the Sarasota-area community.
Plans for the Life Time club include a large fitness floor, indoor and outdoor pools, pickleball courts, group fitness studios, and spa and recovery amenities such as saunas and steam rooms. The facility is intended to support a wide range of health, fitness and recreational activities under one roof.
Moss, the project’s construction firm, said the milestone is an opportunity to recognize the work of construction crews and project teams whose efforts have brought the project to this stage.
The Life Time facility is being built in Lakewood Ranch, a master-planned community spanning portions of Sarasota and Manatee counties that continues to see significant residential and commercial growth.
Life Time operates athletic country clubs across the United States and Canada and has been expanding its presence in Florida. The Lakewood Ranch location is expected to open in 2026.
