Kaufman Lynn Construction, a full-service construction company operating in Florida and North Carolina, has moved from its Boca Raton headquarters to 3185 South Congress Ave. in Delray Beach.
The company’s new headquarters features a three-story building designed by RLC Architects. It has 23,298 sq. ft. of individual and collaborative workspace as well as conference rooms. Environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient lighting were used in the “ultra-modern” space, the contractor says in a news release.
Details such as exposed concrete columns and ceilings, raw wood planks and other eco-sensitive materials were also integrated into the new building by its interior designer, L.A. Design Concepts.
Moving into a larger workspace accommodates Kaufman Lynn’s steady expansion. Since its establishment in 1989 with a team of 10, the company has grown into a multi-million dollar entity with 130 employees.
According to the Delray Newspaper, it plans to bring in more than 100 new employees with salaries amounting to more than $100,000 each year.
The publication reported that Kaufman Lynn’s relocation was welcomed by the city as it has always been pushing for economic growth in the southern end of Congress Ave. City rules were changed to meet the firm’s request for a self-service storage area behind the new building.
