Kaufman Lynn Construction says it recently broke ground on the new Rolling Oaks Park located at 1401 NW 183rd St. in Miami Gardens. Members of the Kaufman Lynn Construction team welcomed Mayor Rodney Harris and members of the City Council to a shovel ceremony celebrating the start of the construction phase of the project funded by the $60 million City of Miami Gardens General Obligation Bond.
The new park will include :New entrance on south end of park, including ticket booth
- New 4,500-square-foot one-story welcome center with porte-cochere at the entrance for visitor drop off
- New “Ninja” Extreme fitness playground near welcome center building for kids, teens and adults to create their own custom fitness course using combinations of equipment
- New pavilions of various sizes equipped with potable water, power and barbeque grills
- Renovation of existing pavilion and restroom building
- New basketball and tennis courts
- Expanded walking trail with lighting and distance marker signage
- New fitness stations
- New outdoor gaming tables in central location
- New parking lot areas and access drives throughout park
- New perimeter fencing
- Upgraded landscaping, irrigation, site furniture and wayfinding
- New video surveillance system and WIFI
