Live Oak Contracting of Jacksonville says it has been awarded the $33.3 million Avalon at James Island project in Charleston, SC.
Construction is slated to begin by the beginning of August 2018 with an estimated completion date of March 2020.
The 320,000 sq. ft. project includes 273 units spread across two four-story and two three-story buildings. The community also features 368 surface parking spaces as well as 16 attached garages.
There will be a “Save the Tree” area featuring a 29 ft.-high live oak tree.
“With the project being strategically placed so convenient to downtown, West
Ashley, and the Medical University of South Carolina I think it will be a very vibrant,
positive addition to the surrounding community,” project manager Rene Garcia said in a statement.
