Athree-story, 34,000-square-foot building will be built in a traffic-congested neighborhood near City Hall in Hollywood, Fla., Miami Herald reported.
Former U.S. Rep. Peter Deutsch won conditional approval from the Hollywood Planning and Development Review Boardto build a controversial Ben Gamla middle and senior charter high school, the Herald reported.
In addition, the board approved 29 conditions — one more than originally requested by the city — to which the school must adhere. Those conditions mostly address traffic and school operational issues.
