Health First held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new high-tech facility.
Florida Today reports that the “12,000-square-foot facility at 1810 Eldron Blvd. in Palm Bay will serve as a prototype for future Health First facilities” explaining that the design will feature 30 larger exam rooms to accommodate both patients and their families in addition to easy-to-navigate floor plans, “two procedure rooms, radiology facilities and a lab. Four or five providers and a total of about 20 staff will work in the building.”
The paper gives examples of the types of technology to be put into use in the facility, such as “chairs [that] will automatically register patients’ weight and vitals, and send them to the electronic records system.”
Health First is a fully integrated delivery network in central Florida that operates four hospitals, a multi-specialty physician group, three fitness centers and a hospice. It also offers health insurance and out-patient services.
