Florida’s Top Women in Construction – Traci Miller’s commitment to helping others sets her apart

Traci Miller has been a dedicated member of Miller Construction Company since 1993 and a shareholder since 2011. She has played a pivotal role in the company’s success. 

CEO Tom Miller once introduced Traci at a business reception as, “…the one that spends her day helping others accomplish things.”

It’s that reputation and her exceptional contributions to the business and the construction industry that make Traci one of the Top 10 Women in Construction in 2023. Florida Construction News is please to recognize Traci and her tremendous success.

As senior vice president of corporate communications, her responsibilities include overseeing business development and marketing efforts and nurturing relationships and she is a key liaison of excellence in our community.

Miller is known for building long-term, trusting relationships with clients by consistently delivering superior construction of exceptional quality. Traci is part of the award-winning team that holds a leading position in Florida’s marketplace, serving clients in the commercial, industrial, health care, institutional and education sectors.

Traci oversees the relationship side of Miller Construction. She serves as a member of the Leadership Team, oversees business development and marketing, and is the Champion of Culture, maintaining and growing company culture through team building and social events for team members. Traci advances the firm’s leadership in its industry and community by developing business relationships with clients and industry influencers; managing community engagement and Miller’s charitable participation and donations; and oversight of brand management and public relations.

Traci joined Miller Construction as office manager in 1993 and has worked in various positions, including accounts payable, administration and community relations until 2008, when her focus became business development and marketing.

She says she has always been motivated by working to help others achieve their goals and has founded and participated in coaching and mentoring roundtables. Her motivational talks include Overcoming Doubt, Community Engagement & Leaving a Legacy, and Networking. 

And her success goes beyond Miller’s doors. She currently serves on the executive committee of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Board of Directors, Immediate Past Chair of Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF), Board Chair of Rebuilding Together Broward County, and on the United Way of Broward’s Women United Leadership Council.

This fall she will receive national recognition as a Visionary by CREW Network, recognizing her leadership in her CREW Fort Lauderdale Boca Raton, CREWMiami, and CREW Orlando chapters and contributions to the CREW Network Foundation working to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally.

“I’m proud to be part of CREW Network, the Foundation, the national Industrial Council, and all three of my beloved chapters,” Traci said.
