Florida Hospital Fish Memorial is building two new operating rooms.
The $2.3-million project is designed to expand the number of the operating rooms from six to eight.The two new state-of-the-art operating rooms will add an additional 1,500 square feet to accommodate new equipment for minimally invasive procedures, as well as add the capacity to perform more orthopedic surgeries, according to a news release.
In addition, the hospital will also renovate the waiting area for family members of surgical patients. It will be adding computer stations, a mini-café and a liaison who will provide regular updates to those waiting on a loved one to finish surgery.
Construction is likely to be completed by August 2015.
