A development partnership plans a block-sized, $65 million project in midtown Fort Myers.

In a statement, Randy Krise and Braham Khoobehi from Krise Commercial Group announced plans to a 5.42 acre site between Central Avenue, Market Street and Fowler Street.

DeAngelis Diamond will be the construction manager, with work expected to start in Fall, 2022. Other project participants include Dean Martin with civil engineers TDM Consulting, and architects Ron Reitz and Cathy Roche with Studio for Architecture, Inc. The owners will be applying for TIF Grants through the CRA in downtown Fort Myers.

“Inspired by the Midtown Fort Myers Integrated Redevelopment Plan Vision, their project, ALDEA, is one of the first planned for Midtown and is expected to transform the landscape of the surrounding area,” the statement says.

“ALDEA will occupy an entire city block while still maintaining an intimate urban lifestyle experience with two separate residential buildings that look inward to multi-functional courtyard spaces. This upscale development with an urban-like design will include 300 rentable multifamily units with a mix of studios, one and two bedrooms, several of which offer additional dens that provide support for home office or remote workspace,” they say.

“Amenities include a courtyard pool with fire pits and projection screen, social community room, fitness area and a business lounge to offer multiple locations to expand your remote office experience. The project will also have approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of commercial/retail space and a 540-space parking garage to serve residents and visitors.”
