Craft Construction Company says it has initiated construction on The Moxy by Marriott hotel in Wynwood for Dolphin Capital Partners and Baywood Hotels.

The 16,400-sq. ft. site is east of Second Avenue at  255 Northwest 25th Street. The project includes a 120-room Moxy Hotel  and 28,000 sq. ft. of food and beverage, lounge club and rooftop spaces to be managed by a Miami food and beverage operator.

“Our team carefully reviewed the complexities of this site to ensure a smooth process for our client and the surrounding community. It is a pleasure to bring such a beautiful property to fruition,”

The project is a joint venture of Dolphin Capital Partners, led by Miami Beach-based founding partner Pierre Charalambides, and Baywood Hotels, led by Al Patel and Chris Desai.  The Moxy is the 12th project Craft Construction has completed for Baywood Hotels.

“Moxy is Marriott’s fastest growing brand targeted towards millennials who like vibrant public spaces combined with functional and practical rooms in the center of gateway cities and we felt Wynwood was the perfect environment for this product,” said Chris Desai, Baywood Hotels’ senior vice-president. “We have worked with the team at Craft Construction Company for 10 years and look forward to another successful project.”

Construction began in February and is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2023.
