The ACE Mentor Program of Northern Florida held its third annual Sporting Clay Fundraiser on Sept. 21, at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, raising $52,000 for 2023-2024 programs.

“Ongoing support for high school students across Northeast Florida continues to be at the forefront for ACE”, said Nicole Eubanks, affiliate director of ACE Mentor Program of Northeast Florida. “Thanks to the engagement and sponsorship of these organizations, we were able to host this fun event all while supporting our mission to engage, excite and inspire high school students to pursue careers in the architecture, construction and engineering industry.”

As the construction industry’s work force labor shortage continues to grow, the demand for the ACE mentor program has also grown.

The program is open to high school students who have the curiosity and drive to learn about a career in design and construction. Students meet at various locations  to design, schedule and estimate a ‘real-world’ project with the help of practicing industry professionals.

Registration is now open for the 2023-2024 school year which runs through April.

Gold Level Sponsors: Foresight Construction and W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractors
