The City of Doral will inaugurate the eastern portion of Doral Central Park on Saturday, Aug. 24, a milestone will be celebrated with the community, alongside project contractor, Kaufman Lynn Construction, and architect, Bermello Ajamil & Partners.
New amenities that will be open include playgrounds, amphitheater, multipurpose fields, skate park and pump track, a boardwalk, fishing pier and kayak launch, pavilions, and outdoor fitness equipment.
The community event starts at 5:30 p.m. and will wrap up with a concert featuring Orlando Mendez and The Wizzards.
The western portion of the park is under construction and expected to be completed and in early 2025, with a Community Center, Aquatic Facility, outdoor basketball and tennis courts and additional parking.
At 78 acres, Doral Central Park will be the largest park in the city, and one of the largest in the region. The community’s vision for this park reflects Doral’s populace in that it is both bold and diverse.
