MargaritaVillage, which will include a hotel, more than 1,000 vacation homes and condos, retail and a beach area, will open in Osceola County in 2017.

The project has released renderings that included an aerial view, as well as a view of some of the amenities planned for the $750 million resort being built by Encore Capital Management. The resort will sit on 320 acres of undeveloped land along U.S. Hwy 192 near the 429 toll road entrance.

“As shown in a new master rendering, the expansive waterfront destination resort will be an exciting addition to Central Florida’s thriving attraction and tourism scene. Margaritaville Resort Orlando features a 175-room Margaritaville hotel, 1,000 Margaritaville-themed vacation homes, 300 timeshare units, 30,000 sq. ft. of function space, 200,000 sq. ft. of festive retail space, a dining and entertainment district, a 12-acre water park, wellness center, miles of wooded fitness trails and a water taxi system,” said a release, noting a sales center will be opening soon.

In addition, the renderings offer a look at “a 3-acre swimmable freshwater lagoon” that will be next to cabana-style amenities to accommodate guests looking to take part in more of its water activities such as paddleboarding and snorkeling.

Encore has roots in Central Florida and is part of the growing construction of large vacation rental homes in Osceola County and, specifically, Kissimmee. Many of those homes are the Encore Resort Homes at Reunion, which has an 85 percent occupancy rate, according to a company spokesperson.
