Work begins on cannabis facility in Baker County

Construction started on a cannabis project in Baker County.

The project, by Acreage Holdings, is being built on 15.4 acres of land in Sanderson, reports The Florida Times-Union.

Located at 13907 Arnold Rhoden Rd., the Sanderson Cultivation and Production Facility is expected to employ 80 to 100 people. The automated indoor climate-controlled facility will include water-cooled HVAC and state-of-the-art botanical extraction equipment to optimize cannabis plant growth.

Construction is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2020.
