The City of Pompano Beach and Kaufman Lynn Construction have broken ground to begin extensive renovations the at McNair Recreational Center.
The upgrades at 951 NW 27th Ave. will include a new synthetic turf field with sports lighting and a new 5,000-sq.-ft. clubhouse with bathrooms, a concession area, and a fitness center inclusive of a yoga studio.
Kaufman Lynn will also be installing new bleachers and a new scoreboard; constructing a new playground; and resurfacing the basketball courts. New landscaping, fencing and overflow parking spaces will be added along with sidewalks to provide connectivity throughout the park.
