Jacksonville has issued a building permit for UF Health to build a free-standing emergency clinic at Dunn Village the city’s Northwest, the second Duval County stand-alone ER approved for the medical center in three weeks.

Charles Perry Partners Inc. is the contractor for both at $6 million each, The Jacksonville Daily Record (JDR) reported the day after the permit was issued on Oct. 18.

The 12,275-sq. ft. Dunn Village location will be built on 1.52 acres at 11277 New Kings Rd. Completion is expected in August.

The structure will include 10 exam rooms, a trauma/resuscitation room, a CT scan room and an X-ray room as well as support, mechanical, administration and public areas.

Earlier, the city issued a permit Sept. 29 for another  a free-standing emergency room at 888 Lane Ave. S. in West Jacksonville.

As well, JDR reports that UF Health plans another free-standing ER at 11251 Lamb Tail Lane in Campfield Commons in Baymeadows for completion toward the end of 2022.
