Kissimmee, Fla.-based Terry’s Electric Inc. has promoted 17-year company veteran Pat Murphy to chief operating officer (COO).

Murphy, who served as vice president – commercial division since 2011, will oversee all field operations for the company’s commercial, residential and utility divisions as well as purchasing, quality control and safety, the company said in a statement.

Murphy, a shareholder since 2007, began his career with Terry’s Electric in 1997, having worked from the ground up and excelling as estimator, project manager, chief estimator, manager of the commercial division, and most recently vice president – commercial division.

Recently, Terry’s Electric completed $15 million of work at Universal Orlando Resort’s new 1,200-room Phase 3 of Cabana Bay Beach Resort, impressively achieved in just 11 months under a contract with Balfour Beatty Construction.
