General contractor Stellar says it is building a new $2.8 million building for The Dayspring Church in Jacksonville.

The new 8,700-sq. ft. structure at 5654 Dunn Ave. will house a new daycare center and early learning programs for the Dayspring Christian Academy and Preschool. Stellar is also adding more than 100 new parking spaces to accommodate the growth. Stellar is partnering with PQH Group and Cobb Clark Enterprises on the project.

“Stellar is proud to partner with The Dayspring Church as they celebrate such a significant milestone,” Bill Stinson, the company’s vice-president, commercial and institutional, said in a statement. “We applaud their investment in our community by offering needed services, and we look forward to helping facilitate their growth now and in the future.”

The project was scheduled to  begin on May 19, coinciding with the church’s 135th anniversary celebration and construction completion is scheduled for December.
